A Volunteer:
What makes Pegasus unique is how local it is to the Deal/Dover and surrounding areas. If it was a national charity it would lose that uniqueness and possible fail.
The amount of activities in the area is amazing which means the children and young people are guaranteed three weeks of summer fun doing a variety of different activities.
It’s also nice as a volunteer to see the same children and young people attend year after year and for them to make friendships with others in their group.
KCC Children’s Disability Team:
May I convey my thanks to Val, Anna, Ange, Kim and you for today,
I really enjoyed seeing once again the wonderful work Pegusus  Playscheme is doing and enjoyed hearing from parents what an incredible impact it is having on their lives.
With best wishes G
Parent:
Sorry, it has taken me a while to write and say thank you so much for another wonderful Pegasus Playscheme and I were driving into town the other day, and he doesn’t usually talk much in the car. He looked at me and said ‘I like Pegasus!’ It might not sound like much, but as a comment from nowhere, it is very significant for Pegasus Playscheme. I assume he was thinking about his time and felt he wanted to tell me. He seemed very relaxed and happy for most of the scheme, and his group of volunteers were lovely with him. His album is also lovely. They were particularly good the day he was sick and cared for him with such kindness. When I arrived at the barracks to collect him, there were about 4 of them waiting with him, and he was leaning up against one of them very comfortably!

Social worker:

Here here! You are all amazing and I can’t really put into words how great I think you are all are. Makes me feel very lame in comparison. WELL DONE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!>

Volunteers:
Dear Sue,

I just wanted to let you know how much S. and R. enjoyed their time as Pegasus volunteers this summer.  They have never stopped talking about it.   I know they were probably the youngest on the scheme this summer but I think they grew up a little in the course of the 3 weeks.
I have noticed how much kinder they seem on a day to day basis and how much more aware they are of the difficulties that some people face every day of their lives.
Thank you so much for giving them that opportunity.  It is such an amazing thing that you do for both the children and the volunteers.

With best wishes.
